绿松石

我国是世界上著名的绿松石产地，其中以十堰郧县、郧西、竹山一带的优质绿松石最为著名，被誉为“绿宝石之乡”，产量占世界70%以上。绿松石因其天然产出常为结核状、球状，色如松树之绿，因而被称为“绿松石”，它与新疆的“和田玉”、河南南阳的“独山玉”、辽宁岫岩的“岫玉”并称为中国四大名玉，是世界稀有的高档玉石。十堰绿松石料质纯净，色泽艳丽，灿烂夺目，颜色多为天蓝、碧绿、灰蓝、粉绿，极为罕见。我国历史上著名的和氏璧即是绿松石所制。举世闻名的越王勾践青铜剑，背面镶有绿松石。

(Natural Resources in Shiyan City ) Turquoise

China is famous all over the world for its turquoise. The most famous places for the turquoise with fine quality are Yunxian County, Yunxi County and Zhushan county in Shiyan city. These counties, with more than 70% of turquoise, are well-known as Land of Turquoise. The stone is nodular and spherical. Its color is like the evergreen pines, and therefore it is called evergreen pine stone, that is, turquoise. Turquopise, Hetian Jade from Xinjiang, Dushan Jade for Nanyang, Henan province, and Xiu Jade from Xiuyan, Liaoning province, are the four famous jades in China. They are all the rare valuable jades and stones. Turquoise from Shiyan, Hubei province is pure in nature, loud in color, and splendid in shine. The main rare shades of color are sky-blue, jade-green, grayish blue, and pinkish green. Heshibi (a flat, round piece of jade with a hole in the center), famous in the history of China, is also made of Turquoise. The world-famous bronze sword used by Gou Jian, king of the state of Yue, was set with turquoise on the back.

绿松石以绿、蓝色为主，黄、褐色为辅。它是铜、铝、磷酸盐等矿物的集合体，这种水流沉淀生成的矿物，因所含元素的不同，颜色也有差异.十堰地区绿松石的石质上乘，色泽艳丽，其纯正的自然美感，形态万千，天然奇特，极具观赏收藏价值。

Turquoise is characterized by the leading color of green and blue and by the secondary color of yellow and brown. It is an aggregate of copper, aluminum, phosphate, etc. This mineral formed by water precipitation varies in color with different elements in it. The turquoise in Shiyan area is of good quality and of splendid color. It is pure, strange and beautiful in nature and various in forms. And thus it is of great appreciative and collecting value.
