I think there might be several translations to carry the meaning, depending on the circumstances where the phrase is used. You may say I have passed the exam at the first try, attempt or something that you want to define. And of course you may say that all the cars passed the exhaust fume test at one ago. Hope some will come up to correct my above wording, thanks in anticipation.

| Re. 发表于2009/7/15 17:11:00 “引诱法”是利用google查询的最经典手段，其成败及效率高低决定于“诱导词”的选择。诱导词没选对，就可能让你白受累，笔者在寻找“一次性通过ISO9000认证”中的“一次性”的地道英译时就曾吃过不少苦头，接连用了once,one, first, 等多个诱导词查看了几十个网页都查不到理想译法，直到过了好几天突然来了灵感，起用attempt作为诱导词，才找到了满意译法：[color=#00008B]at the first attempt[/color]。
