In a midnight operation on the outskirts of Benghazi American special forces captured Ahmed Abu Khattala, the man suspected of organising the attack in the Libyan city in 2012 that killed the American ambassador. The commandos took Mr Abu Khattala to an American navy ship to prepare him for travel to theUnited States, where he will appear in court.
