The victory of the China’s Anti-Japanese War in 1945 marked the ending of Japan’s colonial rule over Taiwan people and the return of Taiwan to China. However, for reasons everyone knows, Taiwan has been severed from the Chinese mainland since 1949. It remains the inviolable mission and lofty goal for the Chinese people to achieve the reunification of the motherland.
